Great PJE 2005-09-19 18:23

Ok David am I ever glad you stopped by today. My first response upon opening this photo is a very impressive photo. I love your work and your gallery. Now to honest my very first response on this photo was that I want your camera..LOL. Seems that 15mm fisheye is so very effective in creating such beauty from common places. You are not standing any higher than normal height because these chairs gives me the impression you are standing on a tall stepladder. Very nice...Very nice indeed. Cheers Paul.

Default To PJE: Thanks for the comments

It's not a step ladder, I am (or was) in fact standing upon a chair similar to those in the image. When I got to the pond in the picture some of the foreground chairs were semi-arranged in a discussion group. I just moved them around a little to emphasise the grouping then jumped on a chair to get a better angle of attack.

I am glad you appreciate the photos - to give you an idea, I probably take around 25,000 images a year of which the vast majority get thrown away (99%). The camera helps with its flexibility, but at the end of the day it is a case of practice, trial & error, and lots of junk until something good comes along.
