Hi Karsten
Wow... what an impressive sight.Almost unreal and manmade.... Great colours and structures. What is the black part on the left? Wonderful picture.

Regards Albrecht

Default To Albrecht: Black part

The " part on the left" is the nearby ridge, which already lies in the dark. It's located at least 400 meters behind the Second Wave.
The Second Wave is on a small plateau, which is some 30meters higher than the surroundings. That's why it is still alight, while the whole surroundings is already drowned in the dark.
The Second Wave is a typical "sunset location", because it only gets this fantastic light and colors at the very last sunlight of the day.
