@all: Thanx so much for your praise and the warm "Welcome"!
The Wave is part of the Coyote Buttes, which belongs to the Paria Canyon / Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness Area. It's located on the border between Utah and Arizona, about 50mi west of Page (Lake Powell). This Wilderness Area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in St. George. The Coyote Buttes is divided into two parts (North and South), where the entrance is restricted to a maximum of 20 people a day. The Wave(s) belong to the North Coyote Buttes Fee Permit Area.
There is a permit lottery at the Paria Contact Station, which lays half way between Page and Kanab. Because of these restrictions the permits are very sought-after, and so it's not unusual, that there are double or three times the persons at the Ranger Station than there are permits.
You can find detailed information about the Coyote Buttes and the Permit System on my website. And by the way, there is much, much more to see in this amazing area than "only" the Waves! ;-)
