Great Janice 2005-08-21 5:47

Hi Sylvie, did you climb it? I believe it is quite a hard trek up to get to the top and can be dangerous too. I haven't been there at all, but it is a well known tourist spot.
You show it well, the colours and details are all nice and sharp. And the size of the people emphasise the height of it. Well done.

Default To Jancie: Hello Janice,

Thanks for your comment.
No I didn't climb, it is a symbol for the Anangu people living here for so many and many years so they don't want people to climb it, but as the governemt is in charge of the Park you can do it by paying some money. It's like if someone walked on the altar in a church or with shoes in a mosque so we prefered make the walking all around it (10 km) we didn't even take photos when it wasn't allowed (sacred spots) which was not the case of some people who didn't mind.
Climbing is dangerous and there is accident every years it could be very hot and the rock is very polished.
Can you tell me in what boat your son is, because every sunday we saw a little summary on TV about the Race in Spain maybe we could see his boat next time.
Cheers
Sylvie
