Great emka 2019-12-07 19:21

hello Jorge,

Interesting monument in the rocks and how proud you must be. How much of this poem had you to memorize in school? How strange that he was the poet and the world explorer. I didn't know it although I have heard about Lusiadas.
Kind regards Malgo

at least you knew what lusíadas was, most of people abroad, not. he is the most important poet of portuguese language.* I memorized around 5 big stanzas, but nowadays I remember only the first one. it is written in archaic portuguese and sometimes it is difficult to understand the meaning because the verses are positioned in a different way.* there are many histories abou him, it is told he was in love for a girl and she despised him saying "how I could love a face with no eyes" because he had lost one of his eyes in a battle. his love poems are amazing and a big rock and roll song from brazil had its lyrics.*

take care
