Hello Bev,
This looks like an interesting sculpture park, involving rather long walks between the different art works. The one you placed in the foreground really looks like something created by an artist (who even signed it at the bottom). ;-)
Places like this are truly fascinating, not lest because we will probably never know exactly what they were used for, or how. What kind of rituals may have been performed here?
The note also made me look up the word "henge", which brought me an interesting lecture about etymology: "Back-formation is the process of creating a new lexeme by removing actual or supposed affixes. The resulting neologism is called a back-formation".

I have never researched the etymology of 'henge', just that I have always believed it was an earthwork that is ring shaped. On researching it, now, I find the Stonehenge is not really a henge because the earthwork is outside rather than inside the circle!! Well ... you live and learn! My warm regards, Bev :-)
