Hi Biswaroop, interesting your choice of B&W here. I would love to see the colour version, perhaps in a WS. It is not often we see a moonrise here on TE...there are plenty of sunrises and sunsets, so this is an excellent contribution. I also like the composition, it is very strong and well lit. The photo info does not show the ISO you used, but personally I would always use as low an ISO as possible and and an aperture of at least f/11. TFS and I look forward to seeing more of your photos. Have a good day, Lisa

Default To delpeoples: Hello

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your comment. I've posted the workshop here. Now that I've relooked at the color version, I think it's actually not that bad... I still like the b&w version though.

I took the photo at ISO 200 - not too high. As you can see, the original photo has no banding, so the noise is just a result of over-manipulation of the image. Ideally, I should have stopped it down and bracketed the shot instead of hammering out the photo in lightroom...

Smile Hi

Hi Biswaroop

Thanks for your response and the extra information.

The colour photo is excellent and although it's only my humble opinion, far superior to the B&W version which is still very good. The light is exceptionally good and the image is noiseless and quite sharp. Interesting the effect of the PP'ing.

Once again, thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend.

Warm regards
