Great holmertz 2018-03-17 2:52

Hello Paul,
I guess you too would have preferred that at least two or three women in bright saris had been allowed to climb down the stairs, wearing colours to match the green water of the tank. But I guess protection of a cultural heritage is more important than a photographer's wishes. This architectural wonder is no less interesting all on its own. While the second WS may be an even better composition, this gives us the best understanding of the entire complex.
Have a nice weekend,
Gert

Default To holmertz: bygone dream

Thank you Gert,

I had seen pictures of this water tank before I got there and all the time I was hoping some Indian women with colourful saris would visit it when I was there.
I was even willing to wait for them showing up.

And then the disillusionment. It wasn't allowed to cross a low thread that surrounded the tank and there was a clear warning sign

Enjoy your weekend,
Paul
