Needs Improvement RedCrown 2010-11-08 5:13

A brave attempt, Ann, but I am afraid it doesn't work. The clearly difficult conditions have forced you to take too many compromises with the image quality. There is a lack of sharpness across the frame (perhaps from camera shake). Moreover, the shadows are very solid indeed. I think you have tried to bring out the face of the man a little in dodging (or it could be the effect of the chalk and charcoal effect) but the result is a little odd.

Sorry to have to be frank, but this one is at odds with the rest of your excellent portfolio.

Default To Fabian_86: Thanks

Hi Fabian_86,

Thanks for your comment.
I see your point about the horizontal plane.

About the quality, I had taken the snap on ASA 400 flim. I have scanned the picture from the negetive and then compressed it to fit the size.
Even for compressing the picture I have not used any photoediting software.
I'll try to use some to increase the scanned picture quality.
