Great jean113 2020-06-30 6:58

Hello Paul, it is very difficult to imagine that this site was completely covered with soil and vegetation.
We get a real sense of its height when we see the people clambering all over the building.
I have to ask, surely by climbing all the stonework the visitors are damaging the building?
Your detailed pictures give us a great impression of the temple, and your notes are a very interesting read.
I think that you did the best thing, by taking these shots from the ground as the sun was setting.
Kind regards, Jean.

Thank you Jean,

Difficult to tell ...
There are steep stairs on four sides. Most people take the stairs closest to the entrance.
Visitors can also walk around on the different platforms.
Does this damage the temple?

Is the Colosseum damaged by the many visitors (when they behave normally)?
And the Acropolis and many other monuments that we can visit?
I'm sorry but I cannot answer in the affirmative or negative.

Best regards,
