I don't think the newly born will be sensitive to the colors of balloons.
I am a scientist specializing in natural sciences so I pay slightly more attention to what nature has visibly put in front of our eyes than to how anybody may feel about it. On the other hand at one of the British universities there was a petition to fire a professor because she said exactly what I said above as being transgendrophobic.
I do believe everybody should be respected and everybody may feel whatever he or she likes but the nature is the nature, black is black and white is white so why should we go into discussion whether old children song "ba ba black sheep" offends somebody's feelings.
Some of the modern trends are going too far. Following this trend you cannot say anything really because everything may potentially offend someone.
I am not entirely sure whether I want my daughter to learn in the primary school that she can choose to be a boy someday. This feels like unnecessary complication for majority to make 1 in 1000 feel better.

yes, there is people don't fit inside his-her gender, other have sexual preferences, but I guess to try to prevent sexual suffering of a people in a so early period of life is an idiot think. According the son or daughter is becoming older the parents should to face the reality and be prepared for the choice of the teens, but I guess it is not necessary to dismantle the old order only because this. I like a roman saying: the virtue is inside the middle, never in the extremism. respect is a nice thing in any case. nowadays there are so many idiot discussions.. I think it is the same idiot matter as when there was a discussion about the sex of the angels.. take care jorge
