Great macjake 2019-03-23 21:58

Hi Chris
Yes, I wouldn't recommend drinking alcohol in this heat. Interesting to have a hotel way out here in the desert. its hard to tell because the shot of the hotel is so close up, but is there any other structures around? or is it a hotel in the middle of nowhere, just curious. It would be great to see more shots, more views. its cool seeing the sand dunes like that, but I wonder what is there to do in the hotel? it could be boring after a while, but still, a very cool experience overall indeed :) cheers

Hi Craig

There are a few hotels and guesthouses in a ribbon strip along the western road flanking the sand dunes. I guess if you got bored or tired of swimming in the pool (one of only 2 hotels that had pools back then), you could get a bus into Hassilabied town. The other hotel with a pool was an expensive 5 star place. My only gripe with Morocco was that some of the people were rapacious. Haggle hard and walk away if they don't offer a fair price or start getting aggressive. But the scenery and culture were terrific.
