Great emka 2019-07-17 9:35

Hi Gert, I like puzzles, and I have a hypothesis about Workshop picture. The street could be Boulevard Poincare and then the high building would be Tour de Midi. It was constructed between 1962 and 1967. Also the train at the end of the street fits. I can't this statue. But of course, in 53 years a lot has changed. I was in Brussels some years later, in 1979. Unfortunately, I have no photos. I remember that when I was in the Grand Place, there was a big spectacle there and the Queen was there. Probably there were no cars at that time.
It is easy to recognize the buildings in the main picture. I checked in Google that the lamps are still there. Funny to see these old cars, and even more how the people were dressed.
Kind regards
MAlgo

Hmmm, New country on the map. :). No countries nearby that I haven't visited yet (except Andorra). I have plans for three new countries but in autumn :(.

Default To emka: Thank you Malgo,

Hello, thanks for your comments.

The building should be easy to identify, so it may well be the Tour du Midi. About the street it's hard to tell. I must have been staying fairly close to the railway station where I arrived from Oostende, but how can you see a train at the end of that street? It's so blurred and grainy?

Belgium will probably be added to my map tomorrow. The map is usually one day late.

Three more countries in autumn? Finally Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia? Or Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay? Or island hopping in the Caribbean? Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo? Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives?

There are not so many left, except in Africa!

Best regards,
Gert
