Ciao Lorenzo
Saluti
Carlo

Default To emka: Maple

Hi Malgo - yep, that's a maple. Maples are easily the most common tree in the area, aside from various pines. Certainly the most common leaf-bearing tree. Virtually all of northern New England and into Ontario and Quebec are covered with maples. The good news there is that unlike the oak, maples tend to have incredibly bright and vivid colors; oaks just go brown quickly, then fall. The prevalence of maples is the main reason New England is such a great autumn tourist spot - imagine a mountain covered in trees that look like that!

Thanks for the comment!

Andrew
