Great batalay 2016-02-04 21:04

Hello Terez,

I've been enjoying your photos from Fort Smith, Arkansas, after seeing your photos for years of classical archaeological sites and artwork. The note is just as comprehensive. The 19th-century furnishings are beautifully exposed, despite the backlighting. I was in Little Rock in 2011 to give a talk at the Arkansas Art Center, but did not make it to Fort Smith.

Warm regards,

Default To batalay: Thanks and great to hear from you!

Thanks very much for the compliments! These were mostly "fun" photos, as opposed to those I use for research and teaching, on a trip to visit relatives late last year. It's a lovely town, however, with some great photo opportunities. This site I hadn't visited previously but it was certainly worthwhile. I haven't had a chance to do much traveling recently as I'm trying to finish up my program and now go on the job market, but when it comes to getting out and about I try to embrace opportunities! I see you've been quite busy also. Thanks for taking the time to browse and share!
