Great tyro 2018-12-07 1:15

Hello Bev,

A very fine vista dominated by Vesuvius which, as you so rightly say, definitely appears far more picturesque and far less menacing than in some of your previous images. And that bright line separating the blue mountain from the darker blue of the sea is where thousands live under Vesuvius's constant threat.

A simple yet beautifully balanced composition, the foreground vegetation holding the whole picture together nicely, and with glorious light and rich colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and clarity.

Kind Regards,

Thank you for your warm critique, John.
It was with a hint of sadness that we left Sorrento for we had enjoyed it so much and there still seemed so much more to learn about it.
There was the lure of Pisa ahead but it was still a wrench to say goodbye.

Have you any special plans for Christmas?
WE will be staying with our daughter and partner for a few days and having a family get-together.

My best wishes, Bev
