Great emka 2019-07-14 0:06

Hello Benny,

Hmm, what it represents? I can't recognize this landscape in Brueghel paintings. It looks quite ordinary. But an interesting idea. have you the picture of this church? It would be interesting to compare it with the painting.

Smile To emka: more Bruegel

1. SINT-ANNA-PEDE CHURCH
Well, I did some shots of the Sint-Anna-Pede church, but didn't really find any of them good enough to be posted here. You can see a picture of the church by clicking on the location here. It's the only other picture from Sint-Anna-Pede that was previously posted on Trekearth. I just added the Bruegel painting in the WS, so you compare.

2. BRUEGEL LANDSCAPE
Bruegel painted many different styles and I immediately made the connection between this rock in the fields and the landscapes in some paintings by Bruegel (and Bosch and others of the same period). But it's difficult to give a specific example. Maybe "The Procession to Calvary" (1564) is the best example.

Benny
