Default Colors photos are different on site than on my MAC

Since a little time i have got a Macbook Pro. I am very happy with it, but i have encountered a problem. When I upload a photo to trekearth.com the photo is less coloured. Is there a solution?

Thanks,
Jorn

I also work with a Mac (but found the same on Windows as well), the colors in Photoshop appear slightly more 'vibrant/ saturated' then they do when viewed in any other program or on the web.
I've used a calibrater on both Windows and MAC to ensure that my monitor is displaying accurately- but I still face the same question.

I'd also be greatful if any could help...

I had a similar problem lately.
The reds were coming yellowish.
The problem was due to different color profile in my camera, raw processor and photoshop. Now they are all the same,sRGB for all three.
Maybe, this is what is causing your problem.
Hope this help
Charles

You can adjust the colors of APS by Edit/Colorsettings chosing More options and desaturate in advance controls till it matches the same photo dragged into a browser.

Thanks very much for the input Charles!

Thankfully I've never had any problems with colors showing incorrectly, as everything I have is RGB. But I think Henk hit the nail on the head- which I'l be testing when I get home....
Now to check out yourt portfolio which I just realised I haven't visited in awhile..

All the best!

hi,

i think you should change the profile of your screen as gamma 2.2 and sRGB IEC1966-2.1

Monitor Calibrations, or changing the profile of your monitor will not effect the image if it is viewed on the same monitor. That would only be a possible solution if viewed on two different monitors.
I have a mac and have faced the same problem.
I'm fairly new to this site, so maybe that is why I dont quite understand oochappan's post. Are the instructions for after the image is uploaded?
Thanks
Ryan

I've a MacBook as well, and I noticed that images look more saturated in IPhoto than when uploaded. I'm using Gimp now, and there I don't have these problems. Monitor settings shouldn't influence this, indeed, it really is a software effect.
