Hi Paul,
I wonder whether you could rent one of those? This would be an economical way to travel over there. You always consider to minimize the costs and seek to interact with the local people as well... You could sleep in the hammock at night and drive around during the day!
Very visually attractive capture with plenty of color. The owner has been very creative in the combination of the colors. It is easy to notice!
The structure behind somehow contrasts having more traditional style and design but has equally bright colors.

Do you mean to rent a tuk-tuk without a driver? I've never heard of that. You can rent a tuk-tuk with driver for the whole day. But you have to be good at bargaining. Or have some luck. Most tuk-tuk drivers do not own the vehicle. Someone with more money owns several tuk-tuks and then rents them out to drivers on a daily basis. In Laos, the price for a ride was usually not too bad. In Cambodia foreigners were often asked for highly exaggerated prices. It all depends on how popular with tourists the place is where you want to take a ride. The best prices I ever had for tuk-tuk rides were in India. All the best! Paul
