Great lousat 2019-11-12 12:36

Hi Gyorgy.I was sure of the second hypothesis even without watching the WS ... ahaha ... these parties are always very alcoholic, the facial expressions are extraordinary, and the end with a good sleep is the classic way to end this day. Beautiful new report, perhaps the most beautiful in the series. Have a nice evening and thanks!Luciano

Hi Craig,
Spanish has a lot of loanwords from Arabic for historic reasons.
Interesting example is algodón which is in English cotton.
Both words originate from Arabic but Spanish version includes the "al" which translates in English "the".
So the cotton in English is el algodon, it has Spanish "the", and former Arabic "the".
Of course most people are not aware of this, it is interesting for linguists.
Article on this subject HERE.

Ever wonder why so many Spanish words begin with al? Contrary to what you might have learned, not all Spanish words come from Latin. In fact, a large portion of the Spanish vocabulary comes from the Arabic language.

Yes there is a tiny bit of walls which resembles Dubrovnik but it is all much smaller and the old gates are actually more interesting than the wall or sight from it...
