Great mkamionka 2021-05-07 23:53

Hi Chris,
I usually see the sky from the plane rather blue, but I suppose I din't fly for several months now. I should not rely on my distant memory, ha ha
Beautiful composition here. The attractive cloud fomration decorates nicely the mountain range. I lived in Munich for several years so I was hiking a lot in Austrian mountains but it seems such a long time ago.
I suppose the contrast well emphasizes the sky but then we loose some details in the green fragment between the mountains. That sometimes discourages me from using polarizer but I suppose it depends what you go for.
Excellent capture.

Hi Marius

I also did the daytrip to Innsbruck from Munich. And Salzburg as well, the same week. I have had comments in the past on photos I took in Nepal that the sky was oversaturated, invariably from people that live at or near sea level expecting pastel colours. The polarizer of course accentuates the effect. I took another couple of shots a little to the left excluding most of the sky and giving better exposure on the green forest area and town.
