Hello Yuval, nice picture from a special area. Danxia formations you can find also in some other places in China. This is a relatively unknown and not very big area, but if you have the right light, like you did, the colors can be amazing. You have been there just recently, is now the tourism bigger there? When I was there some years ago, basically only school children went there with teachers. Nice compo with the winding road. Greetings

To peterpap: now it's too touristic :(
they opened 3 gates and made a circular rout and you can not leave the trail as it use to be in sunnan part some 3 years ago. i'll upload some pictures from zhangye and thene from a new danxye in north xinjiang that is not known and close to the public at the moment
