Dear Elvira,
Nice to see that you dug up your archive. I like to see old photos taken with analog cameras. Carry on! (To refer to an old English films series :))
Have a nice Sunday!

Hello György,
Thanks for writing! Yes, I know by now that you are a great fan of photos taken on real film, not consisting of bits and bytes. But I can't share your enthusiasm! The photo of "lovely Rita" is the only one I want to share of my trip to London, because the rest is so bad, and nothing to do about it. This is not only the fault of analog photography, of course, fifty years ago I have been a lousy photographer. But one of the 4 (four!!!) films I had with me for a stay of one week, was lost on its way to the processing laboratory. And of the of remaining 108 exposures a lot are overexposed, what is the worst thing you can do to a positiv film. I love the possibilities digital photography offers, post processing is at least half of the fun I have with my pictures. I like to see old photos, too, because I don't want to loose the memory, for instance I appreciate Gerts contribution to TE with his oldies, but never ever I want to smell the chemicals in a photo lab again! Perhaps I'll browse through my ancient photos of Hungary some day, and then you'll see some more of my oldies, but I think it will be the same as with the pictures of London: too bad to be shown. ![]() Kind regards, Elvira |
