Great Royaldevon 2021-03-27 4:16

Hello Chris,

The notes are interesting!

I find the beauty and the quality of the carvings quite out of place with the much poorer quality of the wall. Perhaps it was rendered at some time, or maybe I am just too judgemental and this is a result of centuries of wear and tear!
Your polariser has had a fine effect on the sky.
The details are sharp and I like the angle.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: Heroon

Hi Bev

This is a reconstruction from the ruins of the multiple earthquake damaged structure. The lighter, newer tones of stone are missing pieces. It's in the Corinthian style which is possibly rather austere. It seems there were once 4 columns around the front framing the statue of the local hero.
