Hello Mike,
Interesting and unusual sculpture. I can imagine it is very popular with visitors. What does 'Lykkens Caloeher' mean?

This is Gert breaking in. "Lykkens galocher" probably refers to a story by Andersen. You can read about it here:
The "kalosker" referred to in the note would be, I guess, a 19th century spelling of galocher.
