Great Emiel_Skyfreak 2007-09-18 2:28

Hi Stefano,

To answer your question from my opinion, I would rather like this bush to be in focus, cause here it is small and the only blurry subject in the photo. Besides that the bush, due to its branches and flowers offers quite some detail, and when this is out of is not that attractive if you ask me. The bush in the photo is great, but for me it would be better if it was in focus. Besides that, very good composition, nice minimalistic with the bush and the lonely floating woman. Good colours, very fine blue tones! Well done, the black border fits okay too.

Default To Emiel_Skyfreak: Thank you

Thank you for your opinion. I agree that having the bush at focus would have been the best.
Unfortunatelty it was too close for the tele. Even increasing the depth of field I would have had it just slightly out of focus, which, I think, is much worse than having itcompletely out of focus. The problems of photographer's everyday's life...
Cheers Stefano

I know these problems. Yes slightly out of focus might be worse..give it a try next time, it is likely that you are right, but sometimes the result is suprising if you try!
