Hello Jorge

The dreams of the holders of power. Hopefully it is the dreams of the people too. Well taken here of the statue and columns. You have shown us many different views of the life in Cuba. Well done. Keep them coming. The only way we can understand each other is to share ones dreams and aspirations. have a nice day.

Jimmy

Default To holmertz: soviet reasons

gert

remember, this sculpture was created before the war and stalin had no feelings with people, can you imagine how he would feel about sculptures that wasn't his portraits ? he destroyed many marvelous churches, towers and monuments, no matter how historic or beautiful they were. this was only a simple stupid statue to the soviet, the projects of government were ever above anything... anyway its symbolism did it alive again...

take care

jorge
