Hi Bev,
This looks indeed like England with a little beautiful country church. Is there also a cricket field nearby? Are there any nice pubs around. Are cows not allowed in this church? A very pleasant view with good use of the "natural fram" of the arch here.

I have posted another photo from Lanercost and if you check the workshop you will find out more about the cows. And yes of course there is a cricket field nearby, the cricket pavilion (well, more a hut really) had a notice to say that the next match was between Lanercost and Lowther.In England (and Scotland too)you are never very far away from a pub.I didn't notice if there was one close to the priory (very remiss of me!) but there are a number in the nearby small town of Brampton.
