Great macjake 2019-03-17 12:47

Hi Elvira
is that true? Seriously? there's a hidden town under that lake? Really? Where have I been living for the past 42 years? Why have I not heard of this? I need to google it and educate myself on this. so if you go scuba diving here you'll see a whole village? I'm perplexed! awesome
cheers
Craig

Default To macjake: drowned villages

Hello Craig,
really, did you never ever hear of such villages? There exist more than one, in nearly every artificial lake (lakes that are built to be used as water reservoirs) disappears the one or other village when the dam is closed and the valley is flooded. But not every lake has such a photogenic old clocktower near the shore to remind of the former village!
Thanks for looking and writing,
kind regards,
Elvira
