Great kokoro-zukai 2009-06-24 23:47

Hi Urs,

Exotic places may not mean the beauty of the rich and famous. The social character of a place makes them what they are. The slums may be an eyesore and a symbol of poverty but this is reality of many cities around the world.

Good photography, informative and real!

Default To kokoro-zukai: Mumbai Dhobi

Dear Keiji

Thanks for the critique, BTW this dhobiwallah place is not a slum, it is possibly the biggest washing area in Mumbai if not India. Nobody lives there, they all come in the early morning and return to their slum huts late evening.

Best regards
Urs

Dear Urs,

My apologies, I knew I missed something here. Yes it Dhobiwallah is a washing area, my mind was somewhere else (in the slums), coz this reminded me of the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Thanks

Keiji
