Great Royaldevon 2018-08-20 8:56

Hello MarieLouise,

It seems strange that the alleys in Rome are narrow and meandering when all the famous Roman roads in the U.K. are characterised by being straight and broad!
I like how you have used the converging buildings to act as a funnel towards the statue and the pillars of the building but, like Gert, I find the wires very unpleasant and distracting. In such a gorgeous, historical city, you would imagine that more care would have been taken with the electrics!
Your w/s is much more appealing!

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: Plus and minus in Rome

Thank you for your visit Bev,
Rome is in a mediterranean country, so one has to expect quite a few unesthetic features unfortunately.
Better to close one's eyes about them and concentrate on the marvels of the city.
As for the meandering streets in the centre, I guess they were built during the Middle ages onwards.
Have a great week.
Marie-Louise.
