Great holmertz 2018-11-21 2:36

Hello Alexandre,
I have often wondered how to locate the exact center of a huge area with a totally uneven periphery. The second question this photo arises is whether the center of South America happened to be found in this public square, or if the entire square with all the official buildings was created around the obelisk. Apart from my stupid thoughts it is a very nice photo with excellent colours and details and a lively atmosphere. And the obelisk is elegantly designed.
Kind regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: How to calculate

Hello, Gert!

I've read that there are many different methods to calculate the geographical center, so it is not so exact. Actually, there is a dispute with another location nearby for that, but this is the most known center, for the obelisk...
