Great mkamionka 2019-12-06 1:17

Hi Bev,
I am so jealous!
I have been to this town few times, usually as a stop on the way forward.
Once I dedicated most of the day to the castle but my daughter was too bored to go for the walk along the river. So I just seen this attractive promenade from the castle walls.
I really would like to revisit it and makes this walk along the river. I was not sure where to park the car, but I will figure it out :)
The castle itself feels quite dreamy in this picture with warm light.
The point of view is brilliant.
I wonder if they illuminate it at night...
Great series of photos.

PS HERE is my photo of the castle courtyard.

Thank you for your enthusiastic critique, Mariusz.
I liked Barnard Castle very much. We visited the place about 5 years ago but it was misty for the whole time we were there so my views of the castle were very uninspiring.

If you follow the road, by the river, beneath the view of the castle you will be able to find somewhere to park along the road as it leaves the town. We were up there on a campsite.
There are some big car parks actually behind the main street or you could park at the Bowes Museum and walk back into town.
There are some interesting buildings.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
