Great emka 2019-04-16 23:15

Hello Jorge, It is the typical view of the Chinese gate so I do not remember if I saw this one or not. I must look at my photos. What is the sense that they destroy the buildings and later they are rebuilt the same? Of course, stupid regimes make this. The same on the large scale was done in Moscow. Excellent view.

Kind regards Malgo

Default To emka: replicas

malgo

in fact in china there are many of these replicas and I saw many of them. in the age of mao I guess they thought there were so many imperial gates and demolishing one won't be an error because they want to improve the circulation of vehicles in a big avenue. nowadays we have more concern about historical buildings and tourism and they recreated the building in the same place. I saw many others destroyed by the war and by the revolution. I guess it is important.
in são paulo the first building of the town (the school created by jesuits in the 16 th century) was demolished and after one decade or two they discovered the big error and they rebuilt the place. I guess it was nice, like a visual memory.

take care

jorge
