Great holmertz 2019-04-16 3:00

Hello Jorge,
I remember one or two buildings like this in Beijing, but obviously I didn't see this one. Even being new it is very impressive and probably similar to the original one. So many European buildings destroyed during WW2 or by communist regimes have been rebuilt exactly as they were, and they are not less beautiful for being replicas. You show this from a favourable angle, where the trees are also given an important role.
Best regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: replicas

gert

when I was younger I didn't pay much importance for replicas, but when I visited peru I saw many old monuments rebuilt many times after each earthquake and I understood how important it was preserve the "icon" even if not the real one. it is nice to see the same building in the town even after it is gone. notre dame interior is an exemple we will see.

take care

jorge
