Great Longroute 2010-03-01 2:08

Nice and very interesting view of this famous (or infamous) lock. I guess you were on a cruising ship and could take the photo from the deck: a priviledged pov. Great perspective and fine intense colours make the image alive and dynamic.
This lock is the nightmare of the yachts which have to cross this canal, the stream of water is so strong that six persons with six ropes are needed to keep the boat and avoid her to be smashed against the bank.

Hello Marlene,
many thanks for you comments :-) They told that us that not so many things are changed. They change the engine of the trains (today they run with electricity), but the gates are the same then 100 years ago.
