Hello Jimmy,

We also get tropical cyclones in South East Queensland which has a similar climate and latitude (27-28 degrees south) to central and northern Florida. Here's a shot taken in 1967 after Cyclone Dinah.

I think I prefer the sunny blue skies of Arizona whenever one of these unpredictable monster storms is lurking offshore. Tfs!

Yeah we get that a lot here, but the tourist trade trumps all other concerns. Train loads of sand is brought in to replenish the beaches. Many of the structures take time to repair of replace. But again the tourist trade will disappear without presentable beaches. I saw the image, looks like Daytona from a few years ago. Thanks for the flash back.
