Default Most Photogenic Country in Each Continent.

Hi friends,
I have 2-3 weeks to travel around the world. And my trip is in November 2006 (From my experience, this is not the best time to travel RTW :( - monsoon, chilly etc,

Can you do me a favour ? :) I'll go to all continents within 2 to3 weeks(except Artics & Antartics) and choose to visit 1 country on each continent. Please suggest me the most photogenic country on each continent. Photogenic in term of its people, culture, old architecture, colourful life/building and scenery. I'm not fancy new culture and new building/technology :) even I'm still young :)

These are countries that pop up in my mind at the moment.

(A)-Asia- (except Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Myanmar - I've visited these countries)
1. India ?

(B)-Africa-
1. Egypt ?

(C)-Europe (except France/Netherland/Italy/Poland/Germany/Austria/Slovakia/Hungary/Luxembourg/Poland/Czech Republic-I've been here)-
1. Spain ?

(D) -America-
1. Mexico

(E)-Oceania- (except Australia/New Zealand - I was there last year)
1. ?

Please help me.

Thank you.
Pradis

2-3 weeks is really not much time to see all continents, you'll spend most time flying...

(A) Asia: Bhutan
Central Asia: Uzbekistan

(B): Africa: Namibia ?

(C) Europe: How about Croatia, Portugal

(D) America:
- Central America: Guatemala
- South America: Bolivia

(E): Oceania: Cook Islands

Just ideas...

Ahh but what KIND of photogenic are you talking about. Someone said Iceland for Europe. Im sitting here thinking " not much urban street photography there, think Ill pass". And in Europe I would much rather go and shoot in large, gritty urban centers like Paris or London or even Moscow.

In Asia I would also say "what do you want?" City photography would have to be Hong Kong for example, or even Seoul:). But then again India has great urban photography. Someone who likes landscapes would makybe choose Nepal for example. Monks?

I think it depends on styles.

Asia: China - just because the country's so huge with so much diverse landscape and people. From mountains high in the Himalayas to colorful SE Asian minority tribes, you can find just about anything for anyone in China. And, I'm living there right now and loving it. :)

If you travel in November the European country has to be from the south.
You'll spend about a week in planes and airports. That leaves you about two days for each country. Unfortunately that sort of rules out countries where the most photogenic places are far from the main airports, like Namibia.

I rather spend two weeks in one country, but be able to say that i learned something about the culture, history, people and facts...
The most, three weeks=three countries... and it's not that much...

But considering your ideia, i think you must choose places near the airport, you will stay 2/3 days in each country... don't want to loose 1/2 days traveling.

My choices:
-Asia-
India but definitly not in 3 days... 3 weeks at least
-Africa-
Egipt but definitly not in 3 days... 2 weeks at least (desert :P)
-Europe-
Portugal - Lisbon and Sintra airport in the city center) or Spain -Barcelona (Madrid may be too big...)
-America-
Brazil out just because i was there, so... Peru maybe.
-Oceania-
Timor

But i will say again, this idea sound almost funny... i can't see what you will be able to see this way... you will spend for sure 1 week beetween planes/trains plus a couple of days in buses/taxis...

Places like india/peru/egypt can't be seen like this i think... my opinion.

You are all great. I like all of your suggestions. The reason why I can only travel for 2 or 3 weeks is because I've just attached to a new company and I don't think that I can take a long holiday. And why I do this ? My travel is sponsored and I MUST travel around the world, (not in 88 days :) at anytime but before before from Dec 01st 2005 to Dec 01st, 2006.

yup...I'll be in each country for about 3 days, so the place should be within 100km from the main airport.

I wish that I'm not working now so that I can spend 12 mths RTW :)

Thanks guys.
