Default Nikon D70

I have a Nikon D70. Id like to upgrade for better resolution, for instance to a 10 MP, comparable with the newer D80.
1. Is it possible?
2. If so, is it worthwhile?

If you mean upgrade your D70 to a new sensor, Jean-Yves is right, of course. It is impossible to do that to any of the cams I know of.

If you think your D70 has limitations and that it impairs your photos, you can of course upgrade - but to another body altogether. Now seems not too bad a time to do so, with the last of the new D200 in stores dropping prices, and rumors for a replacement for the "venerable" D80 going all around the place.

Better yet: lots technophiles replaced their D200 with a D300, "en masse", meaning a trove of second-hand, not-too-much used D200 on the market now! Look well, it's a fantastic camera capable of taking excellent photos. Even though now its replacement has made it commercially obsolete, it is not technically!

Good luck!
Olivier
