Hello everyone !
I just come to understand something I really don't understand by myself ! When I open my photos with Photoshop they're much sharper than the original file, which is quite nice ! But WHY ??? I thought it could be a question of JPEG thing or so, but if my original file is a JPEG, can it be improved just by opening it in Photoshop ? Or is it due to the quality of the Microsoft pic viewer ? If you have the answer, I'll be very glad to understand this magical fact ! Thanks a lot, Marion |

Bonjour Marion
Cordialement |

Hi Marion,
It depends... When you have a very large photo and you try to look at it with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, it will not be viewed at 100%.This is the reason for the image looks softer this way. If the image has the screen`s size and you watch it at 100% it will look OK. It is the same in Photoshop, too. The best size to view the photos are 100%,50% and 25%.Never use 66% or 33%. Also, when sharpening, you have to be at 100% or eventually,50%,for very large photos. There is no magic in this whole thing. Cheers:) Nelu |
