Great PaulVDV 2019-10-14 13:09

Hello Gert,
I was there in summer of 1987 and remember that some young guys were diving into the river from the highest parts of the large norias.
Did you see the large vacant space in the middle of the old city where the old Assad had buildings bombed in 1982?
At first I wondered why there were no buildings but nobody on that place wanted to answer my questions. Later somewhere else in town another foreigner explained what has happened.
Hamah was such a picturesque place well shown here on your pictures.
How cruel the history of a certain country can be.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: note

Thank you Paul,
If you had had the stamina to read the entire hopelessly long note you would have found my description of that empty area.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Gert,

I really thought I had read your note completely.
Apologies that I apparently skipped that part. Cannot explain why ...

Best regards,
Paul
