Great drt100 2019-09-17 0:40

Dear Paul

An excellent photo of an also super artistic wall painting. Indeed we must wonder why this face, who is it, and mostly who painted it. The boy in the scene helps us gain size perspective. Are there other works of art like this near by? Very interesting

Default To drt100: Kochi Biennale

Thank you David,

When I was in Kochi, an edition of the Kochi Biennale took place.
This international contemporary art exhibition is said to be the largest art exhibition in India and also the largest contemporary art festival in Asia. The works were exhibited throughout the old city and often in colonial buildings.

Yet I believe that this wall painting was not part of the biennale because every work was accompanied by a sign with information about the artist and his works. That wasn't the case here.

Perhaps another artist had taken the opportunity to also show his own work.
There was a similar work on another wall nearby. I guess from the same artist.
I don't have a good picture of that other work.

Best wishes,
Paul
