Great holmertz 2021-05-06 10:02

Hello Ike,
This monastery is not as old as I first thought, but it's certainly not less spectacular than a much older settlement would have been. Apparently the monks have installed solar powered electricity, so they are not entirely withdrawn from modern society. The WS is also interesting. Maybe less eye-catching but still worth a close look of the aqueduct winding its way through the rough scenery.
Best regards,
Gert

PS Most old churches in Sweden have attached cemeteries, even in the centre of a city. More recently built churches don't usually have them, and in any case the large cemeteries are slightly outside the cities, or in less populated areas. But a limited number of burials are still taking place in the city cemeteries.
