Hi Tsvetana,
The composition of the houses is fine, the main problem is the sky - it's burned out totally - on such cloudy days it's better to compose pictures leaving the sky off. The other thing is the sharpness. I think when you reduced the size of your image, you didn't apply an unsharp mask (e.g. in photoshop) - posted a WS, please check!

Thanks for the critique, I highly appreciate it! That sky really was bothering me but I had no idea what to do about it.

All I can suggest is to take photos of parts, fragments of the buildins, like doors, handles, etc. in such weather.
