Great eversmile 2010-03-01 1:40

Hi Stefano

This luminous image from Iran is very surprising. Maybe because, until now, you only presented us the narrow streets of Yazd, or the confined spaces of mosques. The sky seems to rush to the screen, with an electric response of the earth with this long pool. Excellent composition, with the line of the pool that directs our look to the entry of the mosque and the trio in which the child in bright colors between the dark silhouettes of the parents seems like a ponctuation... the fact that they are just situated on the line implicates the idea of their future. And the child become the symbol of the hope they can have in it, all together. Congratulations!

I wonder if when it is really hot, people do seat around the pool, legs in it? Or is it "ayip"?

Regards
Marine

Smile To holmertz: Workshop

Hello Gert
I appreciate your workshop. I will admit the original colours in this shot have become quite washed out in the last 35 years. I feel the light at the time of day was not good. Regardless I appreciate your workshop. I had spent some time fiddling around with the colours and contrast and my final result had a slight blueish cast. I am a little confused as to whether I prefer your workshop as I feel the blue cast has been removed and replace with a yellow cast. Six of one and half a dozen of the either! Either way your efforts are appreciated. Tfs, Marlene
