Great tyro 2008-03-03 14:13

Hello, Tim.

A very nice picture with wonderful colours, especially in that decaying hulk of a boat. However, I thought that it would benefit from a little sharpening so I've taken the liberty of doing a little workshop for you. I hope you won't be offended - see what you think.

Best Wishes,

John.

Default To tyro: Sharpening

Thanks John, I appreciate your workshop. I did sharpen the shot a bit, then did a soft light blend with a layer I applied a light gaussian blur to. It's six and one and half dozen and the sharper version certainly has its merits. I find it easy to fall into the over sharpening trap, so I tend to vier away from it as much as I can so I don't ruin everything. However, your example is well done and will make me reconsider the final version before print. Thanks again, regards, TW
