Great Royaldevon 2021-11-14 9:23

hello Jorge,

This is a clear photograph, with a sad message!
The crop has been spoilt and the cows are struggling for nourishment!
I know in some parts of France, the light burners so that the warm smoke floats over the crops, to nullify the effects of the cold weather/frost. I wonder if this would be possible in your region.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: smoke

bev

yes, some farmers here used the smoke at night to save coffee plantations, a friend of mine used the smoke to save his tomate greenhouses, he worked all night long doing that. anyway this isn't easy do this in open air fields, it is a very hard to do this in a large plantation. in the case of coffee you can try to do that because the damage of a frost is much worst: a single plant of coffee should to live three years to be adult and produce its first fruits, while if you lost a corn plantation in the next season you can plant it again and in three months after you will have a crop again.

take care

jorge
