Great batalay 2008-11-11 20:03

Hello Jervis,

I like the perspective you've chosen for this image. It has been thirty-five years since I visited, and indeed took the elevator to the top of the arch, it is an experience I will never forget. No doubt the skyline has changed in St. Louis, but the dominant structure, the immense parabolic arch, still stands above all else.

Warm regards,

Bulent

Memories are streaming back. My young daughter and I looked down from one of the windows at the very top, and saw that we had left our trunk wide open. We had just driven to St. Louis on our way to San Francisco, where I was going to undertake post-doctoral work.

Regards,

Bulent
