Hi Nicolas,
Bloody monks - there's no escape from the saffron-robed buffoons here on TE (I'm joking of course - I have nothing against monks!).
Even at the risk of cropping the shrine in the background, and the top of the door, I'd have liked to have seen this shot with the framing shifted downwards, so as to include the whole of the monk's reflection, if that was possible. I really think it was the reflection that was the key to the shot.
There's a nice peaceful mood here though, and you captured it very well.

Cheers,
Ben

Default To ben4321: bloody monks!!!

Hi Ben,
You're quite right! These flashy orange robes are all over the place on TE. I had such an overdose of them that before leaving to SE Asia I said to myself: NO PHOTO OF MONKS FOR ME, well... maybe one or two for the memory.
But they are so photogenic... my camera was instictively drawn to these bloody monks, and before I knew it, I had tens of photos of them.
Even better than the high-visibility jackets of the cops in England ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and good luck for the rugby later tonight!
Nicolas

Yeah, we'll need it - the Frenchies will be out for revenge!

Cheers,
