Great sackbut 2007-01-12 7:19

Andy, nice composition. Its amazing how difficult it is to decide when the horizon is straight, isnt it? I see you had a choice - include the view of the canal disappearing to the vanishing point on the horizon, or go for the full reflection on the mill in the water. It would be interesting to compare the two aspect ratios.

I have to say that a ND2 or 4 might have been a better choice, the sky looks over attenuated. I notice you use Cokin ND filters. Some complain that these introduce a slight cyan colouration to the picture. Have you noticed that?

Default To sackbut: Horizon

I just wondered - are you suggesting my horizon isn't straight? I think it is, although the reed beds make it impossible to be sure, but the windmill is tilting due to old age so that might make it look worse!
